A leader who understands both the formal handshake and the grassroots hustle. She knows how to unlock, connect, mobilise and make things move. A strategic thinker and people-first professional, Diana has danced gracefully between the public, development and private sectors, and even sprinkled some newsroom dust in between, leading key storytelling processes in mainstream media and corporate. She brings a unique blend of shared learnings, networks and experiences from multiple sectors.

Her career spans over 20 years across 15 African countries in strategic advisory, public and corporate affairs – government, public & international relations, regulatory and stakeholder management, Communication and brand management, programme development and Sustainability.

From FMCG to service sector, manufacturing to development sector, emerging local to established multi-national brands, boardrooms to communities, Diana brings smarts, strategy, and serious charm to the table. She has led the public Affairs, Communication and Sustainability docket at Coca-Cola East & Central Africa Franchise, as well as the Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Docket at British American Tobacco Uganda, among others. Diana has also interacted closely with various regional business, economic and trade blocs in Africa. She’s also held board and advisory roles. She’s seasoned and passionate about leveraging her skills, networks and experience to make a positive impact in Africa.

When she’s not co-creating strategies, helping businesses navigate volatile  landscapes, or shaping stakeholder relations and helping brands position and tell their story distinctively, she is probably mentoring, advising, or championing an initiative that puts people first – with tact and style.

  • Development & NGO collaboration – aligning goals with impact. Advisory and strategic support, including a board role in a not-for-profit pushing for grassroots impact and social transformation.
  • Communications, Media & Public Relations – from the newsroom to press briefings to behind-the-scenes messaging — she knows how to shape a story that sticks, influences and delivers results.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – whether it’s communities, corporates, legislators, individuals or civil society, Diana makes sure every voice gets a seat at the table (and even share a good cup of tea!).
  • Sustainability /ESG : Defining and securing social license through programs and engagements that deliver shared impact.
  • Crisis and change management – navigating through volatility, reputational dynamics and public relations storms for continuity

Career highlights that deserve a round of applause:

  • Delivered award winning projects   – including leading the PR and communications strategy for the coveted 2022 FIFA World Cup global Trophy tour in 3 out of only 9 African countries toured, and scooping Best Execution recognition for one, in the FIFA-Coca-Cola global ranking.
  • Board and advisory roles. Served on the inaugural Advisory Committee of the COMESA Business Council’s Digital Financial Inclusion Project – working alongside policy and industry leaders to guide the development of a framework that ensures MSMEs aren’t left behind in the digital revolution. Also a Board member for a Dutch founded communication for development organization championing social change and community engagement in Governance, leadership and gender equity in East Africa.
  • Policy influence and regulatory reforms in multiple African markets. Built, led, and executed game changing strategy across multiple industries and sectors– always with her eye on impact.
  • Stakeholder programs that have shaped award-winning reputation ratings and community trust
  • Mentorship and talent development.

Diana holds a Master of Arts in International Relations and Diplomatic Studies, and a Bachelor’s (Hons) in Mass Communication — besides other complimentary pro-level trainings.
